Our Commonwealth has an abundance of God-given natural resources, which have allowed #Pennsylvania to be a leader in energy production.

This #EnergyIndependence truly and literally allows us to be a lamp of liberty for the rest of the world and is #nationalsecurity.

I'm proud to stand with my colleagues as we continue to focus on maximum wage jobs and respecting taxpayers, while implementing initiatives to promote investment and innovation here in PA.

Last week, I was honored to offer a legislative update at the 2024 PA Leadership Conference.

Our @pasenategop majority believes in the Promise of #Pennsylvania, which can be found in our rural, urban and suburban #Communities alike.

We believe #empowerment is the best word to sum up our agenda. By empowering families, empowering taxpayers, empowering law enforcement and empowering voters, our communities will be stronger and safer.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the health and safety of communities across Pennsylvania, the #PASenate recently passed Senate Bill 1054, introduced by my colleague @senatormastriano.

The legislation would require the Department of Health to coordinate with the Pennsylvania State Police to ensure real-time #overdose reporting by #EMS providers is incorporated into a statewide tracking system known as the Overdose Information Network (ODIN) system.

EMS providers are responsible for handling more than 80% of overdoses annually in Pennsylvania. The access to real time data helps public officials ensure that adequate overdose reversal drug supplies are available, substance use outreach efforts are enhanced, and #lawenforcement investigations are undertaken to interrupt sources of deadly substances.

It is always great to take part in events exploring new and innovative ways to engage with students and our surrounding communities. @iupedu officials recently hosted a tri-county visioning event at the Northpointe campus for their #entrepreneurialsuccess makerspace. The goal of this initiative is to address regional needs by sharing resources to expand the impact on Armstrong, Indiana and Cambria countiesโ€™ #workforce and economic development.

This is a great opportunity to determine collaboration among multiple counties and #highereducation, while opening doors for students to find career paths here in western Pennsylvania!

Meet Joe Pittman

I have called Indiana County home all my life and live there with my wife, Gina (DiMaio), and our four children: Joe Jr., Sam, Rosie and Frannie. I am thankful to my parents, John and Mary Ann (Yevchak), for instilling in me the values of God, family and country, and teaching me the importance of community service. It is an honor to serve the 41st Senatorial District and Iโ€™m proud to work with my colleagues to strengthen our commonwealth by protecting jobs, empowering families and defending our freedoms.
